BACKGROUND

65 years – that is a long time to smile. But at IHOP, we have been smiling and delivering joy one plate at a time ever since Al and Jerry Lapin opened the first International House of Pancakes in Toluca Lake, California in 1958. It is even more important today, amid our chaotic and busy world, for our guests to receive a friendly greeting, great food, and time well-spent with those they care about.

Our founders never dreamed decades later the family restaurant they started would become the American icon it is today. The home of all things breakfast and everything delicious, we offer 65 different signature, made-to-order breakfast options and a wide selection of lunch and dinner items, including Hand Crafted Melts, Ultimate Steakburgers and more.
